Next Media’s digital communications pundit, Victoria Atino Mackenzie, was awarded the Digital Excellence Award by Rotary Fraternity during E-KANOS Soirée Night:The Final Toast held at Hotel Triangle on June 23.
The event was organised by the Rotary E-Club of Kampala North to recognise outstanding contributions, achievements and service during the Rotary year 2025/26. It brought together Rotarians, partners and friends for an evening themed to celebrate excellence, service and impact.
The award recognised Victoria’s effective use of digital platforms to create impact, promote meaningful conversations, and support causes aligned with service, community development, and positive change.
In presenting the award, Rotary acknowledged her efforts in leveraging digital storytelling not only to highlight Rotary activities but also to advance messages that contribute to awareness, engagement and social and national impact.
At Next Media Services, Victoria’s s role within the current affairs docket under the brand NBS Television includes translating complex newsroom content into clear, engaging, and platform-ready narratives that live across digital ecosystems.
Her work goes beyond publishing; it sits in the nucleus of critical analysis, curation and dissemination of accurate and factual national and news content. With the team led by Dorah Atwongyeire, the Head of Multimedia, they see that current affairs content is not only reported but also optimised for digital visibility, audience interaction, and relevance.
This recognition comes at a time when digital communication has become increasingly central to how organisations engage audiences, build communities and extend the reach of their work, includingRotary, who have also embraced digital platforms to strengthen public image, connect members and share service projects with wider audiences.
